Commissioned by Heavy Metal Records, Wolverhampton, for the 1981 release of Eloy's tenth studio album. Although the album itself was titled 'Planets', Matthews named the illustration 'The Fall of the Golden Age'. This pencil drawing is the only original piece of artwork of this image in existence - the original colour painting was destroyed many years ago.
