The End of All Songs: Lord Jagged of Canaria original pencil drawing

A signed original pencil drawing on tracing paper from 1976. Titled 'Lord Jagged of Canaria', this is the final pencil drawing that was used to delineate the full colour artwork.  Illustrated for The End of All Songs, the third in the trilogy Dancers at the End of Time by Michael Moorcock, this was Matthews' first full colour fantasy paperback commission.

Authentication will be provided by an accompanying certificate of authenticity; "genuine original artwork" stamped, dated and hand-signed by Rodney Matthews.

Measures 621 (h) x 454 (w) mm, inclusive of mount.

Three previous foldmarks are visible across the image. Some spots of ink (from the colour painting) has been dropped on the image.  The condition is reflected in the price.
