In 2014 Matthews was asked to design a DVD cover for Scottish rock band Nazareth.  The brief was to create something similar to the 'No Mean City' album artwork that he produced for the band some 35 years earlier - back in 1979! The original character from 'No Mean City' was fondly named "Friendly Fred" by the band, so it seemed only natural for the new artwork to feature "Son of Fred".

The DVD, released in October 2015, combines both a live set, Live at Metropolis, and a documentary, Made in Scotland.  Matthews attended the live gig in November 2014 at the famous Metropolis Studios in London, where he also exhibited his artwork.  Recounting the gig, he says:

"I was privileged to watch from both the front row and the recording studio itself, as well as to have given an interview which appears on the DVD"

The photos shown here were taken at Steelhouse Festival in July 2015, where the band got their first glimpse of the original artwork.
