"My second album cover design for Tobias Sammet's Avantasia.

    "The dragon was requested by Tobi. I know he favours blues for his album covers but I took a chance and went for a fiery red dragon against the stark background - it worked, Tobi liked it! The dragon's pose is purposefully heraldic.

     "The general theme touches on Arthurian legend, recalling in my mind the Isle of Avalon. Hence, my inclusion of Glastonbury Tor with the distant Camelot. I once lived in the area and often climbed the Tor - mercifully the dragon was elsewhere at the time!"
