DESCRIPTION
The long-awaited album by fantasy artist and drummer Rodney Matthews and guitarist Jeff Scheetz with Yes keyboardist Oliver Wakeman.
Having illustrated over 140 rock album covers Matthews knew who to call upon to play across the ten eclectic tracks composed and arranged by himself, Scheetz, Wakeman and TV/Film composer and multi-instrumentalist Pete Coleman. The stellar line up also includes none other than legendary Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman on the title track, three bass players – Asia FJP’s John Payne, Magnum’s Tony Clarkin and in-demand session player Steve Amadeo – and world class saxophonist Charles McNeal, plus vocals by Sarah Prothero and narration by Mark A. Williams.
The distinctive styles and diversity of contributions from these musicians lends perfectly to the largely instrumental album, encapsulating in music, images both familiar and new, from the thunderous ‘Heavy Metal Hero’ and dramatic ‘Night on the Bare Mountain’ to the majestic ‘Mirador’ and ethereal ‘Trinity’ (and everything in-between).

The attention to detail for packaging all these items up was second to none, and would be hard pressed to be beaten elsewhere! I am glad I finally have this album in my collection at last. I also picked up all the Yendor books for my daughter towards her upcoming Birthday present so very much looking forward to reading these to her and letting her imagination soar!
Perfect service as usual!
An excellent prog rock album. Variety, virtuosity, and really good tunes. I wish I'd known about it sooner!
I was made aware of Rodney Matthews Studios artwork via Oliver Wakeman X page and comments on his collaboration with Mr Matthews. So I delved in and purchased Trinity and all the other available CD's including Yendor (for my grand-daughter Sofia ;o). Wow totally blown away by the impressive series of artwork done by Rodney and detailed background for each masterpiece. The musicianship is as impressive as the artwork, I am missing one thumb, but I go for 3 thumbs up. The production is impeccable . Highly recommended. Hope there will be a sequel!
