C.S. Lewis’ great lion Aslan from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian playfully tosses a dwarf into the air.  Painted in 1991 as part of Matthews’ demonstration at a school workshop where he designed a hypothetical book cover as an example to the art students.
