In 1976 Matthews depicted The Rolling Stones (in their long-standing line-up) as mercenaries in "another time" and "another place", little knowing that the scene would resurface in the mid-80s as a tour poster in the US.

* Matthews decided to remove two small details - the condom and the Mars Bar - from this image before reproducing it as a print.
