Jon Burton - a legend of the video games fraternity

Not really a blog, more of a note, just to tell you about our interesting day today. Sarah and I had a visit from an old friend - Jon Burton, the founder of Traveller's Tales, who was on a rare visit to the UK.

I've not seen Jon for what must be sixteen years, in fact, since I worked on his game 'Haven: Call of the King', although we've exchanged emails and recently I designed a new logo for his 'GameHut' website. It was a pleasure to be able to present him with the original artwork today:

"SORRY ABOUT YOUR RIPPED JEANS JON - OUR DOG BARKELEY TAKES TIME GETTING USED TO STRANGERS!"  ONLY JOKING, BARKELEY LOVED HIM!

It was great to catch up and hear something of Jon's life and times.  We also talked about the early days, our first meeting at a Liverpool music event, and the creation of the original 'Traveller's Tales' logo.

Look out for my blog about 'Haven: Call of the King' in the coming weeks, in the meantime though, normal blogging will resume on Sunday at 7pm with the third and final instalment in my series of Michael Moorcock blogs.
