The gloomy and aloof Mongrove and his snail were done for the cover of a hardback entitled Legends from the End of Time, one of a mismatching pair of which the other is The Transformation of Miss Mavis Ming for which I illustrated The Return of the Fireclown. Both stories are outlandish futuristic comedies.
