Alice exhibition

Thanks for so many of you showing up at the Alice (and other tales) exhibition at Bourton on the Water.  It's great to be able to hold a show in such a pleasant English town (the Venice of the Cotswolds by all accounts).  Saturday was the occasion of the annual duck race on the river just outside The Victoria Hall - I was furious that I had not brought my yellow duck!

Not only were old friends and regular fans in evidence, but also many people who had been walking past and had noticed our purpose made banner.  Gone are the days of a piece of cardboard and a Sharpie!
It was good to see interest in our new items of merchandise; rather better in the flesh than on the webstore!
At one point I noticed one Lee Thurston wandering about with a guitar case over his shoulder.  My curiosity eventually got the better of me, so that, at my request, he opened the case to reveal the instrument decorated with the image On a Storyteller's Night.  He refused to give us a recital!?
We were helped for three of the days by Paul Cholerton (who was also the Mad Hatter),
and later by Paul Monkhouse and Rachael Duthie.
The star of the show was my wife Sarah, who not only organised and prepared everything, but acted the perfect host and looked stunning as well!
The exhibition was so successful that we decided to book another one there and then!  We are in the diary for November 3rd, 4th and 5th.  The theme has still to be decided upon, but you can be sure that there will be plenty new things to see, as well as the old favourites.

  • So glad you held an exhibition in the village. The artwork was amazing, so many wonderful pictures to choose from. Am now waiting for mine to be framed and can’t wait to show them off in my home. See you both in November.

  • Rodney, Sarah, the exhibition was excellent, as your exhibitions always are, looking at the photographs it seems that you had a large number of visitors, and hopefully a large number of sales, I see from the ‘pop ups’ that a number of Bourton people have bought, that’s great. As I said before, great exhibition, in a great location, looking forward to the next one. xx
